Day 1: Departure - Arrival Seattle, Wa

Welcome to one of USAs most colorful and beautiful cities; Seattle, situated between Puget Sound (an inlet of the Pacific Ocean) and Lake Washington. The city also has a very recognizable horizon which includes the Space Needle and the giant volcano “Mount Rainier”. When all tour participants have arrived, we meet for a welcome meeting and refreshment, with introductions.

Day 2: Seattle

(Explorer &  fun day)

Enjoy a walk along the Seattle waterfront, a ferry or a Duck boat tour on Elliot Bay, an “Underground tour” to explore the tunnels in Seattle’s underground, visit the Space Needle or the Jimi Hendrix Experience (museum), or try your hand throwing salmon at the world-famous Pike’s Place Market. Seattle is the largest city in the state of Washington. Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain/Nirvana Pearl Jam and Dr. Frasier Crane grew up here. The city is also known as America’s coffee capitalas both “Starbucks’ Seattle’s Best Coffee” and “Tully’s Coffee” was founded here. We eat dinner at a good fish restaurant at Seattle’s Waterfront.

Many Scandinavian immigrants reside in Seattle. The district of Ballard, a little north of the city center, is also the “Nordic Heritage Museum” which claims to be the only US museum devoted to Scandinavian immigration history. Seattle is Bergen’s friendship city, naturally enough, since Seattle is also called “Rain City”.

Day 3: Seattle - Victoria, British Colombia, Canada

(Driving day 1: 172 km/107 miles)

When everyone is ready on their bikes, we embark on our 3.000 km long journey in the beautiful Canadian Rockies & National Parks. Seattle disappears behind us as we head north for a unique adventure full of adventure & fun. The tour begins with a ferry ride. Residents and tourists pile together on board in Edmond’s Ferry, which takes us across Puget Sound. We drive to the Olympic National Park before we continue on the road to Port Angeles, where we take the ferry to Victoria, the capital city of British Columbia, Canada.

Victoria is the southernmost major city in Western Canada and is named after Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom. Victoria is one of the oldest cities in the Pacific Northwest, with British settlement beginning in 1843. The city has retained a large number of its historic buildings, in particular its two most famous landmarks, Parliament Buildings, and the Empress hotel. The city’s Chinatown is the second oldest in North America after San Francisco’s. Known as “The Garden City”, Victoria is an attractive city and a popular tourism destination with a thriving technology sector that has risen to be its largest revenue-generating private industry. We recommend visiting “The Gardens”, one of the city’s most popular tourist attractions.

Day 4: Victoria - Vancouver, British Colombia, Canada

(Driving day 2: 115 km/72 miles)

We take another ferry to exciting Vancouver, also known as the jewel of western Canada. The city majestically views over the blue Coast Range and sparkling Pacific waters. Vancouver’s character is West Coast with a liberal Oriental essence. It is the financial, industrial, shipping and cultural center of Canada’s west coast. The city has much that is reminiscent of other parts of Canada and much of Europe as well as the Orient and the United States. The resulting blend is happy, carefree and relaxed. Vancouver has consistently been named as one of the top five worldwide cities for livability and quality of life. Vancouver hosted the 2010 Winter Olympics and Paralympics which were held in Vancouver and Whistler. Major film production studios in Vancouver and nearby have turned Greater Vancouver and nearby areas into one of the largest film production centers in North America, earning the nickname “Hollywood North”. Av visit to Stanley Park will satisfy your need for shopping & an exciting bar scene.
