Day 1: Arrival Seattle, Wa

Welcome to Seattle!

Welcome to the captivating city of Seattle, Washington, one of the most scenic and memorable destinations in the United States. As you arrive, take in the iconic skyline featuring the Space Needle and the majestic Mount Rainier, a sight that will stay with you throughout your stay.

Once all of our tour participants have gathered, we’ll convene for a warm welcome meeting accompanied by some refreshing beverages. This is the perfect opportunity for introductions and for us to provide you with essential information about your upcoming Canada Tour and your time in Seattle. We’ll also walk you through practical details and preparations related to motorcycle and car rental checkouts.

As the evening unfolds, we’ll embark on a journey of getting to know each other, fostering camaraderie and sharing stories. And, of course, we’ll indulge in a delicious dinner together, immersing ourselves in true American style and hospitality. Get ready for an incredible adventure ahead!

Day 2: Seattle

(Explorer & fun day)

Our day begins with an information session about the Canadian Rockies Tour, including details on motorcycle and car rental procedures. Following the meeting, we explore Seattle’s iconic waterfront, with options for a ferry ride or Duck boat tour on Elliot Bay, a unique “Underground tour” of Seattle’s subterranean tunnels, a visit to the Space Needle or the museum dedicated to Jimi Hendrix, or an entertaining salmon toss at Pike’s Place Market.

Seattle, the birthplace of Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain of Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and the fictional Dr. Frasier Crane, is renowned as the coffee capital of America, home to Starbucks, Seattle’s Best Coffee, and Tully’s Coffee. We’ll dine at a fine seafood restaurant along the waterfront.

The city’s Scandinavian heritage is evident in the Ballard district, home to the Nordic Heritage Museum, the sole museum in the U.S. focused on Scandinavian immigration. Seattle, often referred to as “Rain City,” shares a friendship city status with Bergen, Norway, highlighting its vibrant cultural connections.

Day 3: Seattle - Vancouver, British Colombia, Canada

Driving day 1: 229 km/143 miles)

Once everyone is mounted on their motorcycles, we set off on a 1,800-mile trek through the stunning landscapes of the Canadian Rockies and its National Parks. As Seattle fades into the distance, we journey northward, embarking on a thrilling adventure. Our route begins with a scenic ride along the shores of Puget Sound.

Traveling on Highway 9, we reach the vibrant city of Vancouver, a gem in western Canada. Surrounded by the lushness of nature, the city stands against the majestic, perpetually blue peaks of the Coast Range and is encircled by the shimmering waters of the Pacific. Vancouver embodies a West Coast spirit infused with a noticeable Oriental influence, serving as the financial, industrial, shipping, and cultural hub on Canada’s west coast. The city’s character is a unique blend, reminiscent of various Canadian locales, Europe, the Orient, and the U.S., creating a harmonious, laid-back, and joyous atmosphere.

Day 4: Vancouver - Kamloops, British Colombia, Canada

Continuing our journey northward, we embark on an awe-inspiring ride along Highway 99 towards Kamloops. As we navigate through this route, we are greeted by the sight of majestic mountains that rise in the distance, setting a dramatic backdrop for our adventure. Our destination for the evening is Kamloops, British Columbia, where we will settle in for the night. Here, we look forward to experiencing the warm Canadian hospitality, marking a restful pause in our thrilling journey through the landscapes of Canada.

Day 5: Kamloops - Jasper, Alberta, Canada

(Driving day 3: 441 km/274 miles)

Today, our journey takes us towards Alberta, directly into the heart of the Canadian Rockies. We’ll be riding along the scenic North Thompson River on the picturesque Yellowhead Highway. This route offers a wonderful opportunity to spot wildlife such as eagles, deer, and moose, and includes stops to admire the stunning waterfalls near Clearwater.

Our adventure continues as we enter Mt. Robson Provincial Park, where we’ll be treated to a breathtaking view of the 5,000-foot Emperor Face on Mt. Robson. Following this majestic sight, we’ll proceed to Jasper National Park, making our way to the charming mountain village of Jasper, Alberta. Jasper signifies a pivotal point in our journey as it marks the start of the remarkable Route 93, or Icefield Parkway, which stretches from Jasper to the enchanting lakeside village of Lake Louise, Alberta. This segment of our ride promises unparalleled natural beauty and memorable experiences in the Canadian Rockies.

Day 6: Jasper - Banff/Canmore, Alberta, Canada

Prepare for a journey on a road that is undoubtedly listed among the top ten motorcycle rides in North America. The Icefields Parkway, also referred to as Canada’s Highway 93 or the Banff-Jasper Highway, will lead us through an awe-inspiring landscape adorned with glacial peaks and across some of Canada’s most breathtaking icefields. Today is set to be an unforgettable riding experience, one that’s guaranteed to be a highlight of your life!

This evening, we will find relaxation and enjoyment in the lively Rocky Mountain village of Canmore, Alberta. Canmore is celebrated for its friendly residents and delectable cuisine, offering the perfect setting to unwind after a day filled with spectacular sights and thrilling adventures on the road.

Day 7: Banff/Canmore, Alberta, Canada

(Explorer & fun day)

Today offers the opportunity to partake in two distinct tours, providing a mix of leisure and adventure against the backdrop of the Canadian Rockies. The first option is a gondola ride to the mountaintop, an experience that, while optional, promises breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes from an aerial vantage point. For those who prefer to stay grounded, the day continues with a bike ride to Lake Minnewanka, a serene and picturesque destination ideal for nature enthusiasts. Following the bike tour, you’ll have the chance to stroll through the charming towns of Banff or Canmore. Each town boasts its unique allure, with quaint streets, local shops, and the stunning natural beauty for which the Canadian Rockies are renowned.

Day 8: Banff/Canmore - Waterton Lake, Alberta, Canada

Today’s journey takes us to yet another remarkable destination as we traverse the breathtaking Kananaskis Pass. This route offers a prime opportunity to encounter Big Horn sheep, often seen wandering near the road, adding a touch of wilderness to our ride. Our adventure includes a stop in the Olympic city of Calgary, a vibrant urban center known for its spirited energy and rich history.

Following our visit to Calgary, we proceed to Waterton Lakes National Park for our overnight stay. Waterton lies on the Canadian side of Glacier National Park, renowned for being one of the most visually spectacular regions in North America. Here, we will indulge in a tranquil afternoon and evening beside the serene, glassy waters of a crystal-clear lake. The peace and natural beauty of Waterton make it easy to feel a deep connection with the surroundings, offering a moment to truly immerse oneself in the essence of life. Day 9: Waterton Lake - Kalispell, Alberta, Canada

What could be more exhilarating than a day spent navigating the breathtaking landscapes of Glacier National Park? As the nation’s 10th National Park, Glacier is celebrated for its profound glacial valleys and formidable peaks. For motorcycle enthusiasts, it presents an unparalleled sensory experience, combining the thrill of the ride with the awe-inspiring beauty of nature.

The highlight of this journey is undoubtedly the Going to the Sun Road, one of the National Park’s most historic and scenic routes. Offering excellent riding terrain, this road winds through the heart of the park, providing riders with unforgettable views and an intimate encounter with the park’s natural splendor. Riding through Glacier National Park on this iconic road is not just a journey but a memorable adventure through some of the most dramatic and picturesque landscapes North America has to offer.

Day 10: Kalispell - Spokane, WA, USA

As we bid farewell to the majestic Glacier National Park on the United States side, we pivot our motorcycles southeast to delve into the diverse landscapes of Washington State. Our journey prioritizes the scenic allure of two-lane roads, allowing us to intimately experience the region’s natural beauty. We’ll ride alongside tranquil lakeshores, absorbing the serene views and peaceful ambiance. Further along, our route meanders through the quintessential cattle country, a testament to the area’s agricultural heritage. This segment of our adventure offers a vivid tableau of Washington’s varied geography, from its aquatic vistas to its pastoral expanses, providing a rich, sensory riding experience through the heart of the Pacific Northwest’s emblematic scenery.

Day 11: Spokane - Seattle, Wa, USA

As our Canadian adventure nears its conclusion, we set out on our final day of the tour with a sense of anticipation for the journey ahead. Our day begins with an enjoyable ride on Highway 2, offering scenic landscapes and a smooth riding experience as we make our way towards one last remarkable destination. The spectacular beauty of the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Park awaits us, promising awe-inspiring views and a memorable finale to our exploration.

Following our visit to the park, we head directly back to Seattle. Here, we will return our motorcycles, a symbolic end to our epic journey. Trading in our riding gear for light summer attire, we embrace the comfort and relaxation that comes with the completion of our adventure. The afternoon is spent in the leisurely environment of our hotel’s vicinity, allowing us to soak in the final moments of our trip together.

Our journey culminates with a farewell dinner, where we gather to share stories, reminisce about the experiences we’ve had, and celebrate the incredible journey we’ve undertaken. It’s a time for reflection, gratitude, and looking forward to the journey home, carrying with us the memories and friendships forged during our Canadian fairytale.

Day 12: Departure - Home Travel

As we bid farewell to the majestic Canadian Rockies, Glacier National Park, and the vibrant city of Seattle, it’s time to return home. Our group will travel together by shuttle to the airport, marking the end of our unforgettable journey. We extend our heartfelt thanks for the great rides, the memorable times shared, and your decision to explore with Explorify.
